I was able to cut the trace with a needle, pull the GPIO0 low with an resistor leg and flash the transparent serial bridge firmware.

Thanks. If it is only one solution I will try it.
Maybe I can try cloud update first.

I tried this and got the same problem!!!!!!!!
I tried different speeds - 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, 38400,115200,230400, some higher all spit out garbage!!

I am entering the chat late, but that was my issue when I have 3.3V vs 5V level issues.
