ESP-07 Antenna configuration

Hi There.
Have some ESP-07 modules here, and as you may know this module has both a onboard cheramic antenna, but also an optional external antenna.
I recall having read some where that a resisor on the module should be removed to use either the onboard or the external antenne, only problem is that I cant recall what antenna was sellected with or without the antenna
So I hope some of you may have the ansawer to my question ??

viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1550 for some discussion on this topic. To use the external antenna you should remove the capacitor that connects the u.fl connector to the chip antenna.

I use ESP-07s sometimes so gave this a try and it seemed to be better without messing with the onboard antenna. This is a sketch reporting the RSSI of my WiFi hub every few seconds first with both an external antenna and the onboard ceramic antenna and then with removing the ceramic antenna and capacitor and just using the external antenna:
