Description
My project is simple but has a really important application in helping a Search and Rescue team called the South Carolina Search and Rescue Dog Association. Its important for search dogs not to get over heated. So I am using the ESP8266 to send info to a wireless phone showing the current temperature in the dog crate. The dog handler will view the temperature in a browser displayed using HMTL5. The ESP8266 is on a Sparkfun ESP8266 Thing Board powered by a 3.7 850mah li-on battery with a directional antenna. All of the components are housed in a 3D printed case. The case was printed by a Kossel Delta printer that I built from a kit (Folgertech.com)

Parts
Sparkfun ESP8266 Thing
SMA to uF extention
3.7 Li-on battery
TMP36 temperature sensor
Directional antenna
