Im interested to know if people think the esp8266 is reliable enough to be used in commercial products. Not the basic firmware rather the chip it self.

Thanks

I work for a small electronic controls manufacture. One of our new products has it a ESP8266 module included as a WiFi bridge with a PIC processor as the main do work unit.

A product I designed (below) is based on the ESP8266 as the main processor and it has an option of a plugin A/D module if I am unhappy with the ESPs analog input. We have not yet started the firmware development on this yet. Trying to clear up other projects first.

Hi, stay away from UDP and you'll be fine.
