Hello,

I am trying to compile the "hello world" project provided with the ESP8266 but getting the following error (screenshot) attached.

The screen shot shows it's running the ESP32 toolchain not ESP8266

Hello,

Thank you for having a look. But I have tried both, first I tried ESP8266 toolchain then on getting the error mentioned, I switched and trued ESP32 toolchain with exact same error.

I have followed the step provided here

Can you post screen shots of the attempt using the correct toolchain and we will have a look.
