Please tell me what happens with the blue LED on the ESP (the one encircled in red, near the antenna), not the blue LED on the NodeMCU-board.

That light doesnt light up even when I press the on board reset button

It's not really worth the effort of trying to fix it, since a new board only costs a couple of bucks.

Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups. At least: that's what I'm assuming.
