I am trying to do voip using an ESP8266. Is there an RTP library available for the ESP8266?

I actually did find this project (in about three different places, ranging from here to the author's website to pinterest), but (being a noob) did not recognize its usefulness. Do you have any recommendations on how best to harness this?
