I've tried to connect my ESP-01 module to a 12V AC adapter through a step-down converter but as soon as I turned on the power the blue diode lit up and the ESP crashed. How should I troubleshoot this issue?
[Solution] Turns out the knob on the converter moved slightly passing 5V to the ESP instead of 3.3V, hence the crashes
