how should we know?
you never show a picture of your tp4056 module, only a general fritzing image :roll: .
does it have the additional ic and mosfet (more than one black creepy-crawly)?

that is the "newer" one I was mentioning.
One can clearly see the seperate terminals for the battery and load, as well as the monitoring chip (6pin, DW01x) and mosfet (8pin, ML8205A).

Thanks for the answers man I appreciate it.
One last question please.

If you see the image I posted on the first page of the topic I connected the battery level monitoring circuit
to the battery directly without going through the tp4056.

Is this an error?
If the tp4056 decides that the voltage is too low, it cuts the power to the esp,
will the resistance I put for the battery level monitoring continue to sucks energy even if the esp if off?
