That's very probable. Taking into account my huge knowledge of electronics, my wiring could be incorrect. Where can I find necessary information about wirings?

maybe you post a photo from your installation and we try to work out strategic points/measures.

You have Vcc and Gnd reversed on the connections for the transistor of the optocoupler and R1. Hopefully that is just an error in the schematic.
