Can i use a esp8266wifi d1 mini as a wifi router
Posted: Thu May 19, 2022 3:40 amI have a camper trailer and a TV with a chromecast dongle. I want to cast netflix etc from my phone to it.
First what works but I want to replace.
1) Take my wife's phone and put it into hotspot mode.
2) Take my phone, connect it to the hotspot and then use it connect the chromecast to her hotspot
3) Cast netflix from my phone to chromecast (which I believe uses my wife's internet connection (being the hotspot) to deliver the stream)
Now my plan:
I have got the 8266 set up as an Access Point and can connect my phone to it.
What other code do I need to get the chromecast to be able to access the internet via my phone?
