ESP8266 Community Forum

Because I got suspicions that either my ESP-01 or the CH340 board might have been faulty, I decided to order a different CH340 board, and what do you know, instant connection first try, so in the end it was the CH340 board that seems to be faulty. Because even with the prog-uart swich there, I did try to pull pin 6 low and even the solution used on boards without a swich (pulling gpio2 low).

So problem fixed. By the way, nice to have this forum, but can I ask for the reason why post need to be approved? Or is this just for us newbe's? Makes the troubleshooting kinda slow

It's only temporary for new accounts; this forum is very popular by bots and this measure filters out most of them, although sometimes a couple slip through, but they will get caught manually.
