LED Flashlight

Hi all,
I´m working in the field of photography & film.

There is a new trend of lights that are synchronized with the shutter of the cameras to enable short flashes only during open shutter. (like Esper Lightcage).
Usually they use PPF as an sync input.

I was wondering if something similar could be done with the ESP, even with adressable LEDs and if anyone know a good starting point or simlar projects.

Thanks in advance

My knowledge of photography/videography is limited, but you generally use (relatively) high shutter speeds and I think WiFi has a too long latency, which will result in the flash being lit when the shutter is closing or even already completely closed.

But I don't know, maybe others here have more experience with these kinds of topics?

Why not a photo transistor on one of the analogue inputs, with an I/O driving the LED's - you can set the on time- delay, etc.
An FET can be used on the output to drive more LED's if required.
A small ATTINY will probably be more suited for this type of application.
