ESP8266 Community Forum

hello friend.
i am new to esp8266 I am confused which platform to choose for esp programming (i want to use it as a standalone micro controller).options are:
1. lua script
2.micropython
3.arduino ide

please tell me which is best for long run and tell me the resource to learn the platform .

Do you have any prior experience with either Lua, Python, C++?
If you have, that might give you a head start; I think all languages are equally strong and pretty well supported on the ESP.

I'm under the impression C++ (Arduino) is most commonly used, so you'll find a lot of examples and support for that one, though I could be wrong (since I'm a bit biased).

Just try them all out and see what platform suits you best.
