I've got a very similar problem, but mine does not go away with your code either.
I'm rather new to the ESP8266 world and got in contact via ITEAD Sonoff devices that use the ESP8266 and I managed to update the firmware there successfully, but one ITEAD Sonoff Touch just refuses to run the code.
The flashing process looks fine, but the only output I get via Serial Monitor (Arduino IDE 1.8.0) directly after [100%] upload is reached is this
No blinking LED or Serial Monitor output (with your code from post #2)
I'd appreciate any advice
