#27870 That was quick.
Stable .json file has been fixed and is working again.
Thanks to Igrr on the github project.

Just put the "http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json" Link in preferences and install in the boards manager as usual.

#30907 Hi Good Folks,

I'm getting ready to teach 100 public high school students how to use the Galileo Gen2, but I can't get the i586 core to download and install properly. I found the link to this forum in a web search and joined up so I could beg for help.

I'm using the new json file. I even downloaded it and changed the Arduino preferences to have it install directly from my computer (Mac running 10.7.5. Don't laugh.) and still the directories don't match up. Are there detailed directons somewhere that can show me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks much, Lev in NYC
