So i have a TI Launchpad and i would like to use its built in FTDI chip in order to program arduino on it eventually and firstly would like to make sure my connection to it works. i've opened serial monitor in energia and arduino used all the line ending combinations and baud rates and pressed reset on the esp8266 to see if i can get the preamble and ready to display. ive swapped the tx and rx lines multiple times and to no avail i cannot get this to work. i have a TI Launchpad exp430G2. if anyone has any suggestions that would be great.
