- Sat May 02, 2015 6:30 am #16277 The trick to solder it was to put some solder on a thin wire, than press the wire with some help of a magnifying glass against the pin. I wrapped the wire around the esp8266 so it stays in the place without holding it by hand. So i had been able to find the right spot using a magnifying glass. Than hold the solder tip to the wire till it is so hot that it connects. This gives some fragile connection but was not to hard to establish.
As I wrote one worked, the second one not, but for the price of the esp8266-01 it is worth the risk.
