Perhaps you chaps might like to see my build of this.

I've changed a few things around from the great original code:
The AP strengths are now right hand side justified.
Encryption type is shown, or, a simple '*' to denote no encryption.
It will connect to the home network if found and then display Thingspeak data. That has been useful already while working outside on another project.
A future version is intended to show the time instead...which means we can build atomic watches for under $10 !

Oh and there's now battery code, to display the charge in mV of a connected lipo.
It uses a measured 85mA nearly all the time, just spikes when connecting online.

I was thinking about sleep modes and such, before realising that the On/Off switch is perfectly usable as a battery saver ! any data can be brought up to date with the next online connection.
