I can solder the contact on the back of the shield to use D5 pin but what will be the "working" pin by doing this?

Will rele accept input on both D5 and D1 pin or "enabling" D5 will disable D1 input?

- Mon Jun 03, 2019 7:44 am #82608 You need to go through the code and change D1 to D5. There will be a port initialization in setup(), and whatever code that affects the relay in loop(). I would do a search and replace.

- Mon Jun 03, 2019 2:50 pm #82614 My D1 Mini is used for a lot of sensors, even I2C sensor and PIN D1 and D2 are needed for I2C sensors.
I soldered the D5 pin on the back of the relay, then connected D5 to my D1 mini, relay seems to work ok but the led does not turn on.
Any idea on why it doesn't turn on?

- Tue Jun 04, 2019 12:38 am #82619 Either a bad connection or the led is burnt out. Have you checked it with a meter on the diode function?
