- Sat Aug 08, 2015 12:13 am #25333 Imagine I want to build an Arduino sketch that will compile against both an Arduino and an ESP8266 but changes are needed for both environments. Is there a #define symbol that is assured to be present on an ESP8266 but not present for a real Arduino?

ESP8266
ARDUINO_ESP8266_ESP01 / ARDUINO_ESP8266_ESP12 / ARDUINO_MOD_WIFI_ESP8266 depending on which board was selected in the IDE.

ARDUINO_ESP8266_ESP01
ARDUINO_ARCH_ESP8266
ESP8266
I think the last ones are the most best bet ...
