Hey mmiscool,

I am a member of the PICBASIC forum (BASIC for PIC microcontrollers) and wanted to share the good news about your developing BASIC for the ESP8266-xx modules.

So I did a write up over on that forum to invite those interested to come check it out here and on your home page.

http://www.picbasic.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=20908

I also submitted my post to Hackaday.com and received an email saying they were going to write it up!

I hope you don't mind a little publicity

Well....
BASIC is certainly not dead for me and, obviously, you!!

But I doubt there are many new programmers who are choosing BASIC as they start their new programming career.

Sad, as BASIC is one of the easiest languages to follow.

I am curious as to why you are doing this Basic for ESP? (but PLEASE don't stop!) You obviously know other languages that you are using to implement the Basic statements in.

thanks

ProjectBasic

ESP01 modules

If I recall correct from the conversation.

But I think there is a slight conspiracy theory building...

mmiscool is cool and Basic is well Basic. The law of attraction says that opposites attract.

Suspense builds as he builds and we await his reply :P

Thanks for the support Dwight! It is great to draw some minds to this great development and really put this nodemcu through the ringer and to the test. Would be nice to gather some smart hackers, DIYguys, Makers to move this thing along and get some projects posted. It is an excellent thing...

Don't forget you can support Basic development:

visit http://www.esp8266basic.com/store/c1/Fe ... ducts.html and purchase a basic IOT device...
