Got the correct flasher.
Chose 1M because my ESP-01 has 1KB of flash.
Flash went ok.
Reset ESP-01.
Clicked on link to
http://192.168.4.1/editConnection timed out.
Is link correct?

Note that my ESP-01 has 1KB of flash (not 1MB) Is that my problem?
The most flash I ever saw on an ESP module is 4KB (32Mbits.)

Disregard my previous posting.
My ESP-01 has 8Mbits (1024 KB, or 1 MB) of flash. My head is swimming with numbers.

I finally got access to the ESP AP. I don't really know what I did differently, but hopefully it's repeatable.
