LOCK CODE - LOST CODE SOMETIMES ?

Is it possible lock the source code ?
sometimes when i try to edit the code and a TCP/UP application is running, destroy the part of source code....

I know that is not the right way, but for me, i changed the code to block access to EDIT when the basic code is running!
The same i did to the DEBUG option

Also more work but I keep a second copy of the code in a backup file on the esp and if really important I also keep one in notepad. You can frequently hit the back button and the browser will have your code if you forget. Done this a few times. Usually quite lucky that way. Sounds like a Clint Eastwood line from Unforgiven...
