Hello,
there is a new pinout for ESP8266-02

I bought two and both connected to the old pinout. Both have been permanently damaged.

I think you mean the ESP-02, i.e. the module (ESP8266 is the name of the chip on the module).
That's the only pin-out I've seen for ESP-02.
Do you mean it's different from the more common ESP-01 ? (which is certainly true, there are lots of variations between modules)

what he means is ESP-02 pinouot, just go to first page of this thread and compare his link to what on the page, and you will see there ia indeed dangerous difference between versions of the ESP-02 module.

That sucks.
