#79065 Feed a square wave into the input for the touch duration. To be on the safe side I would put a couple of diodes on the port pin. One with the anode to ground, the other with the cathode to Vcc. Just to protect the ESP8266 pin.

#79242 Thanks rudy. I'm just getting to try this now, but unfortunately that doesn't appear to work. I've tried with a GPIO pin switching high for 10 milliseconds and low for 10 milliseconds (thats 50 Hz right?) in bursts of a couple of seconds long, but nothing. Any other suggestions?
