ESP8266 Community Forum

I've some of these 3 way touch mains dimmers which I think use a TT6061A and wondered if an ESP could control them.

Any ideas?

- Wed Nov 07, 2018 6:59 pm #79065 Feed a square wave into the input for the touch duration. To be on the safe side I would put a couple of diodes on the port pin. One with the anode to ground, the other with the cathode to Vcc. Just to protect the ESP8266 pin.

- Fri Nov 23, 2018 9:46 am #79242 Thanks rudy. I'm just getting to try this now, but unfortunately that doesn't appear to work. I've tried with a GPIO pin switching high for 10 milliseconds and low for 10 milliseconds (thats 50 Hz right?) in bursts of a couple of seconds long, but nothing. Any other suggestions?

- Fri Nov 23, 2018 10:13 am #79243 Thinking about it - I wonder if the ESP GND needs to be connected to the mains neutral? The ESP is a Sonoff Basic so the 3.3v power is probably isolated from the mains.
