I have strange situation with starting ESP-WROOM-02 with original firmware. I have tested two ESP's in different PCB's and got similar result. I was expecting for ready phrase after I do reset. Instead of that I got garbage:

Baud rate 14400

I was tested all communication baud rates. System also not responds to AT commands.

I took new ESP from sealed box and did brand new board according schema below, but got the same result.


How to fix that problem?

- Fri Nov 29, 2019 3:04 am #84777 That's not a problem, but a boot-message at 74880 Baud (yes I know: this is not a standard Baud rate) and looks something like this:

Code: Select allets Jan 8 2013,rst cause:2, boot mode:(3,6)

Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups. At least: that's what I'm assuming.

That's not a problem, but a boot-message at 74880 Baud
