how to write embedded c code and flash it to nodemcu?

iam beginner to esp8266.
i worked on avr atmega32 by using embedded c code and flash it via extreme burner
my question is how to write embedded c code and flash it to nodemcu.
i dont like using arduino language.
any suggestion for this issue?
