As we can't see what's under the cap, I'd rather go for sure and add the C + R myself.

You can measure what is connected to RST under the cap (resistance to Vdd and risetime of RST from 0).
I haven't found an ESP-12F without these components yet, but, of course, it is fairly harmless to add extra stuff.

This data sheet seems to be fairly accurate, especially in terms of the PCB layout/vias/etc that can be seen, but you're right there's no cap shown:

I only know for the 201, if you leave out the C, it will be very susceptible to interference (as in: turn on TL and the ESP crashes).
