#18228 I have several old WiFi hubs one of which I had hoped to mount high in my garden to connect to several esp8266 boards.
Only one seems to talk to them (I need that in the house) so I am hoping to buy a new hub to connect to my ethernet LAN which will give a good range to the esp8266's outside.

Has anyone recently bought one from eBay that does a good job?

(I assume the esp8266 will handle the latest WiFi specs?)

"Which?" report please!

#18329 Ah...... talking to yourself again......

I had found that only one of 3 modems would connect to my ESP-1
I then tried a BT modem some 5 years old (I expected better quality) - that connected now and then.

I have now found the problem!
If the wifi hubs are just a few meters away the link fails many times for all hubs - but if 3 rooms away they all work fine (with a web page refreshing quickly).

It seems the input can be saturated - too much signal - they seem to be very sensitive for such a small printed antenna.

Has anyone else seen this?
