You could also enable your windows as a hotspot (connecting windows 10 machine to 5Ghz & then broadcasting it to 2.4Ghz to connect ESP to windows hotspot). Although you'd have to keep your windows 10 machine on for the ESP8266 to connect.


In windows 10 ---> Start ---> Change Mobile Hot Spot Settings --> Edit to 2.4Ghz & you will have a 2.4Ghz Hotspot :)

Maybe use two? That'd get you to 4.8GHz, would that be close enough?
