#25570 Hello,

I just got an ESP8266 on a board and trying to communicate via serial.
I think I got all the hardware connections correctly.
I get a monitor running on the PC and connected to the port the ESP8266 is connected to through a 3.3V serial converter.
The terminal is set to 15200 bps N, 8, 1.
When I power up the ESP, I get a dump of stuff and then a message saying MEM CHECK FAIL and then it says "AI-Thinker Technology Co. Ltd." and then one blank line and then "ready"

I tried to send it AT commands but with no success.
I tried all the setting combination to the CR/LF in hyperterm and Putty.

I tried to reflash the firmware but both the flashers I used under windows (nodemcu and esp8266_flasher.exe) - I did run them under the administrator user so Run as ... Administratot - failed to find the board.

What do I do?
Help!
Thank you
Vlad

#25609 Never mind...
I screwed it up. The rx line was soldered incorrectly on the db9 to pin 1. As usual user error.
... i still had to reflash to the new binary to get at commands to work.

... i think i have to revoke my own engineering card!
