Hi,
I didn't go through with the examples which Martin posted but I hope that "ESP-NOW" will provide you the solution. Just search on internet and youtube.

It seems that this "ESP-NOW" and "ESP-WIFI-MESH" have already opened a new window to the world of possibilities for ESP community.
