Sure, you could do that too, but that step value is something people might want to change. Why not make code that handles any step value properly?

- Sat Jun 20, 2015 11:23 am #21027 I suppose someone needs to try own on all the available pins (right now I only have ESP-01s, though I have some 7s on order). I suppose it is possible that some pins are 8bit and some 10bit.

Maybe some pins are hardware and some software PWM?
