Has anyone found success connecting sparkfun's ftdi basic breakout? Please help!

Nothing shows up in the serial port differently no matter what i do in both win 7 and mac 10.9

I've installed the vcp drivers on both systems.

the thing that drives me nuts is that the device beeps like everything is working just fine when its plugged in!

i have a 10.9 mac and win7. both ok with ftdi.

villTech: what does your plist look like in the kext file for 10.9?

I've been using an official FTDI driver on 10.8, 10.9, and 10.10 without issues.
