I have both the blue and white antennas. The blue works fine so not all blue antenna esp07 pcb's have the resonator placed incorrectly. Care is needed if replacing the metal cover to avoid shorts to ground.

Hi all,

Yep, good news to spread around.

Definitely can confirm the resonator story. Opened the can and repositioned it.
I have also received 4 of the blue power led ones, all DOA. 3 of 4 alive after the resolder process. At least don't need to waint another 2-3 weeks for the next ones :).

One tired night shift blowed away a truck of them at least. Maybe 2. :)).

May your hot air station be with you !!

and closer look :

And they were NOT wrong in the same way and direction, so I suppose the pick-and-place machine vision system got wrong.

I can confirm that rotating the resonator 90 degrees also made my ESP-07 work. And its the one with blue antenna and a blue power led.

I have bought my 6 esp07's at Ebay (seller esooho). I did contact the seller, but they claim that they newer had any complains. Wonder if folks just repair them or what.
