Hi all.
If read this post then I have best present for me in this Christmas ..

I still not received my module then I can not testing in real .. But have some question ..
1. is possible test average power consumption ?
I'm interesting about node-sensor network .. but need small power consumption ..if use nRF24L01+ then is around few uA..
2.what is real transmit speed ?? or what size is packet in one transfer.
3.respond time ? if all node are in sleep time .. and wake up periodical for listening .. what is respond time ??
4.is possible to write more about synchronization ?? or not used synchronization internal timer .. counter ??
5.how long time take send one packet from node to gateway??
...

Merry Christmas for all..
and Happy new Year..

Well DZairo I can tell you that you're not going to get "a few uA) out of the WIFI boards.. but then what you were looking at with the NRF boards must've been having them a sleep msot of the time as they use many milliamps at full belt. The ESP-01 etc will use as high as a few hundred ma - sitting doing nothing they use a lot less.

scargill .. mz nRF24L01+ node have 4uA .. when sleep.. standard (Rx or Tx) have around 15mA ..
I know that WiFi have bigger power consumption .. but only if Tx in max +20db output power ..
if will sleep for example duty cycle 300ms sleep and 4ms listening then power consumption is possible decrease .. I ask for this MESH network not listening full time .. node in MESH are in deep sleep mode and are synchronized .. wake up every predefined time and listen or transmit .. WiFi MESH must work exactly same solution how in other low power MESH network..
Of course .. if ESP8266 can't change output power from +20db to (for example +0db or less) then must working in maximum .. and then have big power consumption .. and what about transfer speed .. for example in nRF24L01+ send 32byte payload in 1Mbit speed then it's take less then 1ms .. but in 11Mbit or 54Mbit .. then can save lots of Tx time ..

regards..

PS> my solution is used ESP8266 as repeater only .. and to ESP8266 connect CC1101 or nRF24L01 as gateway and connect sensor..

I've given up on the NRFs - can't even get through a single thick stone wall. I have high hopes for this "mesh" - and for me power is not an issue. Range and reliability are the issues.
