Could you explain how the LAT/LNG is calculated, who is calculating it and where the data comes from !
Looking at the thread you provided doesn't give any answers to those questions.

For what I could understand on that thread, it gathers information about nearby access points, and then contacts some online database to get the location.

- Fri Nov 06, 2015 10:19 am #33264 This uses LoRA communication and it is called "Low Power Wide Area NetWork". Its like using RFM12/RFM69/RFM96w. This is new emerging technology for IoT device communication other than Wifi/GSM. This is being tested in Europe and India.
