#75798 As mentioned previously these boards are designed for LDO regulators which have a different pin out to the 117 type. So the article is moaning about an incorrect pin out but they have assumed a regulator that the board is not designed for.

The 117 are not really LDO and also have a high quiescent current so not a great choice particularly for applications using batteries.

#76675 I don't know where you are seeing GPIO2 being connected to a 10k. It should not be connected to anything (it's internally pulled up to Vcc), and on my adapter board it is not. GPIO15 is pulled down to gnd with a 10k, and EN is pulled up to Vcc with a 10k. The middle 0 ohm resistor is just a jumper.
