#78139 Believe me: it wil not get any simpler as this !!!!

When the wind is straight at our window and it is pouring (not just normal rain) we have a leak.
It has to be repaired by a professional, however in the mean time I have a leak detection.

An ESP8266 programmed in ESP-Basic with just 11 lines of code sends a notification through IFTTT to my Android Phone. It really can't get any simpler as this !!!

#78156 That reminds me of a guy I used to work with. He had a washing machine that had in intermitant leak and so he had a plug with bare wires on the floor plugged into the same circuit as the washing machine. If the machine leaked the water touched the wires so tripping the MCB and turning off the washing machine!

Other options include putting the wife and/or children in front of the window instead of the television.
