Hi guys, is the CE certification mandatory for a project that includes a esp-01 board. If yes where can I take CE documentation for this product? Thanks a lot

The ESP-01 has no certification at all (neither FCC nor CE), so if you want to include it into a commercial product, you'll have to contact the governing body of your country for this certification on your entire product (the ESP cannot be certified on its own).
Assumption is the mother of all f*ckups. At least: that's what I'm assuming.

It depends on the criteria of the "project". It certainly is not of importance for my personal projects.
But it is a concern when I am designing it into commercial products at my work. And as stated in the post above, the CE or FCC approval is needed on the new product, and whatever CE or FCC approvals exist for ESP modules used, does not remove the requirements for the final product.
