Yeah, this post looks like spam just to lure users into clicking on the links (that are both unrelated to the ESP or programming in general) in the signature.

#87417 My guess would be that your board needs code that is compiled for that specific type of board. In the code editor, you write in 'plain english', which is a non-compiled version of the code.
When you click the upload button, the code will be compiled, uploaded to your board and discarded afterwards. So there is no saved version of the compiled code, except on your board.

That's why, each time you upload the code to your board, it needs to be compiled first.
