You'll experience this if you did not sufficiently decouple the RESET and ENABLE lines. They're susceptible to noise and can cause a chip reset. I recommend pulling them up using 10 k resistors and in addition to that, add a decoupling capacitor of 100 nf to both RESET and ENABLE lines. This will work most of the time.
