#91839 I all

I fabricated a custom PCB for an esp8266. All pull ups and pull downs are correct (esp12 works fine and I am able to communicate by ESP-now)

Yet when instead of the esp12 I use an esp07, everything works except for the wifi communication and the module starts heating up.

Anyone has any idea?

#91850 Faulty module?
Powered using 3.3V and not more?
I/O using 3.3V and not more?
Pull-ups and pull-downs using 10k resistors and not hard-wired?
reset and chip_en decoupled to ground using a capacitor?
sufficient start-up current available?

the circuit is exactly the same for both modules
I tested 2 esp12 modules and they both work
I tested 5 esp07 modules and none of the works...
the 10K resistors are all there, as well as decoupling caps
Also, the modules is powered through a 3.3v voltage regulator which can provide up to 1Amp
