I am making a quite simple project that involves ESP8266. I want to connect my STM32F4 board to ESP and use it to get internet radio stream to stm's audio codec. And my question is : can esp handle the connection at ~64kb/s? I know almost nothing about this chip so I thought that I can ask here.

- Thu Apr 23, 2015 5:50 pm #15438 Are you sure about 64kb/s for getting Internet Radio stream ? That would be quite low quality audio ...
Having done in the past a setup for IRadio using a GLiNet router + USB Audio dongle, I think your best bet is the latest DominoIO core, and it has also an I2S Audio interface as an optional module.
You will be able to get real Hifi quality stream !

How do you transfer data between STM32F4 and ESP8266 ? SPI ?
