#42555 Hi there,

The big brother HC-SR501 works fine with ESP8266.

Did anybody manage to get the HC-SR505 working?
It holds 0 on the output few seconds after power up and then constantly holds 1.
Tried 3 items of this type, all of them behave the same.

#49431 I tried the HC-SR505 along with about 3 other types of PIR sensors and would always get false positives. It seems that for some reason when wifi on the esp8266 would send any data it would trigger the sensor.

I finally found a sensor that works, is MUCH smaller and runs off of 3v without modification. Hope this helps someone not have to go through the pain I did : )
