The datasheet does not list a max. current consumption, but the highest current listed is 215mA. A quick test showed almost 350mA while loading the index page of esphttpd: Image

Interesting. It is likely that it is most energivore when using WiFi.
What equipment did you use to produce this measurement/graph?

#10556 I used an ESP-01 powered by a LM1086 (from the 5V line of my ATX supply). Firmware used was esphttpd, connected to a 11n AP using WPA2-PSK (CCMP). The measurement & graph were produced with a mooshimeter (screenshot from the android app).
